The Ministry of Health hereby informs the public and travelers to Benin of the easing of health control procedures at the country’s borders.

Accordingly, the following measure is now in effect:

  • No vaccination card checks, including checks for yellow fever vaccination, are carried out at points of entry (airports, ports, and land borders).

However, the following provisions remain in place:

  • Benin reserves the right to modify this measure at any time in the event of a public health emergency of international concern.
  • In accordance with the International Health Regulations (2005), yellow fever vaccination remains recommended for all travelers.

Finally, the Ministry of Health calls on all users and travelers to take note of these provisions in order to facilitate their travel while continuing to observe health recommendations.
